Reiki channels life force energy through the hands of the practitioner into the chakras and energy body of the client. Life Force Energy is what causes us to be alive, feel vital, happy and whole. When one's life force energy is low you can feel tired, overwhelm easily and experience low immunity. If one's "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel . Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and well being.
A typical Reiki session will involve a short discussion on the clients needs before laying on the massage table fully clothed and receiving treatment. Treatment is the gentle laying on of hands over the chakra points and other areas that may be experiencing pain or discomfort. Soft music will be playing to coax the mind and nervous system into deep relaxation to promote maximum receptivity of the healing energies.
